Test your product on real, skin-matched consumers

Launching or reformulating? Don't guess. TryMe runs your product as a structured trial with people who match your target skin, and hands back a decision-ready report: repurchase intent, willingness to pay, sensory feedback, and honest reviews, broken down by exactly who it worked for. Research-grade feedback, without the research-firm cost or timeline.

A product test, not a giveaway Every test hands back a depth of first-party insight and real customers you can't get handing out samples on your own. Here's what lands in your report.

New buyers

Real at-home trial turns sample recipients into buyers. Every campaign is an acquisition channel, not a giveaway cost.

First-party data you own

Demographics, skin type & concerns, routine and usage: the data you lose the moment you hand out samples blindly.

Structured survey data

Advanced questionnaire results on efficacy, texture, scent and repurchase intent. A real trial panel, not a comment box.

Authentic reviews & UGC

Honest, attribute-tagged reviews and photos from verified trial you can syndicate to your own site and sales channels.

Research-grade, without the research firm

Formal consumer testing (in-home use tests, central location tests, focus groups) gives you real signal, but it runs $10k+ and takes six weeks. Handing out samples is cheap and tells you nothing. TryMe sits in between: a structured product test with skin-matched consumers that returns decision-ready data in weeks, at a fraction of the cost. And every unit also comes back as a real customer, a data point, and a review you keep.

A panel you can trust the data from Online survey panels are being overrun by bots and fraud. Ours is the opposite: every response comes from a verified, skin-matched human.

Verified, real people

Email-verified accounts, one person per profile, with device, geo and rate-limit fraud controls on every claim.

Skin-matched, not random

Each tester has a structured skin profile, so your product is judged by the exact people it is formulated for.

Honesty-weighted scores

We use a Bayesian Truth Serum method: testers rate the product and predict others, so ratings are the hardest in beauty to game.

Expert-designed instrument

A standardized, methodology-reviewed questionnaire so every test is comparable and benchmarkable across the category.

Test at every stage, from concept to shelf

Validate a concept before you manufacture, run an in-home product test, substantiate a consumer claim, and price it with real willingness-to-pay. One matched panel across the whole product lifecycle. See exactly how each one runs: concept testing, in-home testing, claims substantiation, review generation, and competitive benchmarking. Want to see the output first? Read a sample report. How we measure

A number is only worth acting on if you know how it was produced. The same instrument runs behind every TryMe Panel, which is what makes results comparable across your own products and over time.

Honesty-weighted scoring

Panelists rate the product and also predict how others will rate it, a Bayesian Truth Serum design (Prelec, Science, 2004). Answers more common than people expect carry more weight, which penalises reflexive positivity.

Intervals, not bare averages

Results are reported as top-two-box agreement with a 95% confidence interval, so you can see how precise a number is before acting on it. A 4.2 with no interval is not a finding.

Behavioural willingness to pay

Each panelist sees one randomised real price and says whether they would buy at it. Across the panel that traces a demand curve, which is harder to game than asking what someone would pay.

Method, not results. We publish what the instrument does; the numbers come from your test.

Questions brands ask

Who are the testers?
Real consumers who completed a structured skin profile: type, concerns, sensitivities and current routine. They are recruited to match the profile your product is for, and they keep the product whether their feedback is good or bad.
How big is the panel?
We are early and we will tell you the exact number for your trial before you commit, rather than quoting a headline figure. A typical first trial runs 15 to 20 matched testers. Every report states its sample size and composition next to the findings.
How are testers matched to my product?
On skin profile, not demographics. You tell us the skin type and concerns the product is formulated for, and recruiting targets that. It is what lets the report break results down by who the product actually worked for instead of averaging everyone together.
How long does it take?
About three weeks for a standard in-home test: roughly a week to recruit and ship, two weeks of real use in a normal routine, then the debrief and report. Concept tests are survey-only and come back faster.
What exactly do I get back?
A decision-ready report covering repurchase intent, willingness to pay, sensory feedback and performance by skin type, plus the underlying response data so your team can rerun anything in it, plus honest reviews you are licensed to use on your own site and social.
What does it cost?
Founding-partner trials are free: you supply product for the panel and we ask to write the trial up as a named case study. Standard pricing is being set with those first partners. See pricing for the detail.
Can you guarantee positive reviews?
No, and you should not buy testing from anyone who says otherwise. Testers are never told what to say and nothing about their compensation depends on sentiment. If a formula does not work for someone, the report and the reviews will say so.
Is this a clinical study?
No. TryMe measures consumer perception: what real people notice, prefer and would pay for. Claims like "dermatologist tested" or measured barrier function need a lab and a clinical protocol. We will say which kind of evidence you are getting rather than let it be mistaken for the other.
